Mixed bag of poker this week, Friday night I played my usual Omaha Hi Lo $1-$2 ring game. Very enjoyable evening in all with a good mix of players at the table, Although playing for four hours I ended the session with only $9 more than my original buy in, Still great night with some very interesting characters.
Saturday evening I started with a satellite over at Titan poker to get into their upcoming $2,000,000 guaranteed tournament, With just 8 seats up for grabs from a field of 734 this was going to be a tall order, Never the less as usual it was a challenge I was up for.
At my opening table I found myself jammed between 2 megalomaniacs who seemed intent on busting out before the first level of blinds changed...(incidentally they were both out within the first 3o minutes)
After 2 hours of play I found myself sitting middle of the field, out of 734 players we were down to about 200 or so with the 3 top players having stacks of about 3-1 over the chasing pack. By the time we were passing the 3 hour mark my stack had grew tremendously and only 2 tables remained, At this time I decided to tighten my game up and hold out for the last eight, which I managed.
So in three weeks time I'll play in a tournament that has a $1580 buy in as well a life changing sum of money for first prize
